I know a lot of you don't think putting makeup on your eyebrows is important. Eyebrows frame the eye. So it's important to pay a little attention to them, fill them in, make them look natural...
These are my eyebrows without any makeup. You can clearly see white hair (beurk!), the wrinkles too but I can make those dissapear with makeup (snif!) and they are sparse so that's why I fill them in with a pencil.
The picture above shows my eyebrows with eyebrow pencil in. You can't see white anymore (ouf!) and they're perfectly filled in.
For this I used two pencils for me to review for you! You can also use powders, eyegels and pomades but I always go back the the pencil! On the right of the picture I used a new one for me the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown and on the left side, my tried and true Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown.
Can you tell the difference? I can't!!! They're both have a small tip, the pencil is hard so little colour is deposited this makes it fool proff I promise.
The biggest difference? Price! The Anastasia Brow Wiz is 27.00$can at Sephora (plus of course all sale taxes). I know NYX is not readily available in Montreal right now but they will soon be. I bought mine at ULTA but you can buy them at any american Target. They retail for 13$can (I bought mine for 10$ and it was buy one get one 1/2 off so I paid even less... Insane!). Now that's insane!
I'll have to see how it wear througout the day and see if one last better than the other but let me tell you... As much as I've repurchased the Brow Wiz, I will try and get my hands on more NYX Brow Pencil in the futur. I'll also get more colours to put in my kit!
If you would like me to make more blogs like this let me know! This one is in english but i'll be translating it in french for my french friends and family! I'll always put out both so no worries!
I can post tips and tricks once in a while. Show step by step how to apply eyeshadow for a particular look? Show you how to fill in your eyebrows? The best way to apply foundation?
Let me know what you would like to see next! Hope you enjoyed this blog!
